I am experiencing a strange behavior of my CDR-23 radio.
My car is RoW(Japan) 2004 GT3 Club Sports.
My friendly dealer doesn't have a clue to fix this phenomenon.
Anyway, here it goes.
When I am listening to a radio channel 2 that is 78.0MHz for my radio, it will first display as 78.0MHz. But in a while, it displays 87.5MHz without any audio interception.
If I set to 87.5MHz manually, the actual frequency 87.5MHz has another radio broadcasting their different program.
When I am listening to channel 4 that is 81.3MHz for my radio, it does the same.
It first displays as 81.3MHz but eventually, it is displaying 87.5MHz.
Here's the q;
1. The frequency step may be different in your country, but has anyone experienced these thing in your CDR-23 radio?
2. And if you have solved this, how did you do that?
There is nothing malfunctioning except for the radio display in my GT3 and radio display has nothing to do with the main function of the GT3, my priority to fix this is relatively low, but I don't like it.
Wrong display

Turning RDS Off (accessed via the Menue button) should fix your problem.
From what you described, I do not believe you need a new headunit at this time.
Your CDR23, once it gets confused regarding RDS info, which may not be transmitted correctly by all radio stations, defaults to displaying 87.5. Cute little bug.

You didn't say if it has always been this way, just started or not sure. I would also have the dealer check the country coding of the radio to confirm is is correct for Japan. That should not have changed but it's possible that it has been incorrect since delivery. Maybe why the RDS is confused.

I THINK that Becker still allows you to turn off RDS on RoW CDR23 headunits.
Last time I checked, they removed this menu option on US spec CDR23's....no idea why.
