Dell,
They don't look like the ones I have in my car.....
The backs of the ones I purchased from Sunset have a "glossy" finish and these look like they have a texture or a matrix like finish.... PLus they don't have the crest at the headreat like you said, mine do.....
My guess is they are replicas..... I saw an auction for replica GT3 seat a few weeks ago on E-bay and these look alot like those seats.....
Hope this helps...
Steve

I emailed the seller and he claims they are in fact genuine. I find that hard to believe and guess this just comes down to a case of buyer beware. If it smells funny then run!

There was another seller on eBay that was selling replicas of the GT3 seats in carbon fiber. These are probably those. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/911-9...QQcmdZViewItem

Didn't think about that. Thanks for the heads up.
Anyway, I just bought a set of used seats from another member and feel much better about the purchase than dealing with the Russian Roulette version of authentic items.....eBay.
Thanks all for the input!!!

Here's a new pair:

I bought a pair of 993 Turbo black soft leather 12 way power adjustable heated seats from them, used the 'Make Offer' button. No problems.

Let's see. No Porsche crest in the headrest. No sliders that come bolted on from the factory. Plus there is no option for carbon fiber backs. Yeah, his loss huh... Just wait till the guy buys them and then finds he need the sliders for a 996. And for these the bidding is over $2200? Crazy.

Dell, congrats on yours. Are you going to switch them to your 996 GT3 (summer '06)?
