Yes the fronts are 360mm, the rears 350. Its an Alcon rotor. I bought it from the UK and the box says made in UK on it. The hats for the front came with the disk. The rear disks reuse the old porsche hats, and I've got a set of OEM mounting thingies to attach the disks to that hat.
Since the front caliper needs shimming out about 5mm to fit the new disk, I'm now wondering if it doesn't increase front bias a bit.

Andy--It was nice meeting you at PIR. Sorry we did not have time to go for a ride. You know what I think. The cayman is just another wet sump porsche. The gt3 is a stone cold classic, vicious and capable. Really, there is no comparison.

Most likely the hats and hardware are made by Wrightwood racing in California, with rotors that were made by Alcon in the UK. I have the same setup but they used the AP rotors for me with a different slot than yours. They are probably now going with the Alcon J hook rotors.
You will be very happy with those rotors, should last you a very long time. They will most likely wear out before you break them.

I think Pole may be right on the ownership front. In the UK I know of two GT3 replacement setups, the one I have from Alcon, and an alternative Brembo one.
Z06 - I hope you are right. Everyone I know who has them is pleased so far. Is your slot pattern a more straight line dash typed one? If so that would seem similar to the brembos.

Fitted the alcons yesterday. No real problems, although separating the rear ceramics from the hats (which need to be reused) was challenging. In the end a heat gun, some patience, and 5 broken tools did the job.
Tried to run them in on the road, but looking at them afterwards I clearly didn't get enough heat in. I'll have to do it on track next week. Not really safe/acceptable to repeatedly get to 110 and then break hard on the public road.

alcon is better than brembo in that it's much quieter (i am talking abou tfloating rotors only)

Mooty - not getting any rattles at all from my new disks. Bit of pad squeel but thats parr for the course with RS29s.

Hey Dan, did you change the rotors and pads all at the same time?
I thought it was better practice to replace the rotors first on the old pads or the other way round..
