The front is already a mono-ball, the rear will help a little as will going to a stiffer shock spring setup, check alignment as well. When I ran my 315 it rubbed a little, not at the track but on the drive home, I had a 11" BBS mag rim with the tall Kumho tire.

TRG makes a rear mount, as does ERP. The ERP one is very nice...

Check the ride height, corner balance, and f/r rake. Wider tires give great grip increase, but there are times when they rub. Camber is important as well as spring rate, rebound and bump.

Hi,
Perhaps going back to 295's is the answer. I ran 1:55's at TWS with the stock tire sizes - michelin pilot sport cups. I'd be hard pressed to change the suspension unless I was already getting everything I could out of the car.

I am thinking about these but my instructure is actualy the one sugesting these. We are pushing the car and from his point of view ( he is also a Porsche Mechanic that races on the Porsche club races and pro years ago) he feels that is a must . So we will see I am having a hard time getting the parts

Tony,
This is Curt - it was good to meet you at TWS. I agree that John thinks monoballs are the right answer for the larger wheel and tires. My point is that the stock set up will enable you to run at least 1:55's - since that's what I'm running. Perhaps use the stock wheels for the track and the nice wheels for pimping on the street !

Are you asking about the upper rear shock mount, or replacing the rubber mounts in the control arms for monoballs?

I am looking at doing both.
I found the full set up. The Racers Group has it. Lower control Arms ( 4 dog bones) Rear toe links and Solid traling and Strut mono ball mounts. I will have all here with ing 2 weeks I will take pics of parts when they get in and hope fully get to try all the new set up at MSR in Houston April 1st and 2nd.
I will trill try new tires. But so pharr every body is telling me that the car will improve alot regardless. A must do if you mainly track the car.

Curt as hard as you drive I am sure that you will be next
Fun Laps as a passenger. See you next time

You may also want to consider modifying the rear arms on the suspension now. They will be your week link, and even weaker now. With all the monoballs, the force will be transfered to the weakest link (not a pun, but sort of).
