Default Checkup?

How often are folks bringing their GT3 into their local Porsche dealer for checkups? Are you just waiting for regular service intervals or have you brought the car in more frequently? If so what was the general cost?

depends on what driving you are doing. i have been doing a track event a month at least since august when i got the car and some times 3 or more. i have 4000 miles so far. i have changed the engine oil 5 times and the tranny fluid 3 times. the car has a once over underneath after every event. i have consumed 2 sets of front rotors, 3 sets of pads and 4 front spoiler lips.
I am having a start of season intense go over with fluid changes again and a check and retorque of all suspension pieces. we are also replacing all wheel bearings ( just in case) and any other parts that seems to be worn on the suspension.
this is maybe overkill but i like it.
drive it like a race car , service it like a racecar

Question

Why replace the wheel bearings so soon??

Please tell me as I drive my car very "agressivly" it has about 11k miles on it. Most are "agressive" miles.

I am getting a squeeking noise at slow speeds, that sounds like it is a "rotating" noise, if that makes any sense. Could that be the wheel bearings?

my miles are 90 percent track. i wore a bearing on my last porsche and it wrecked the hub. this is preventative start of season maintenanxce so the car isnt out of action in the summer

Chris,

That sounds like a bushing noise to me.

The sound I get is a Sqeaking noise, it goes squeak, squeak, squeak as the car moves and as the wheels rotate.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Cos. I need to get under there and listen. Sqeak must be a rotating part, but is the frequency on the order of one per revolution?

Wheel bearings usually go one at a time, if it is loud enough to hear then it should get stronger as you turn the wheel one direction, and should get weaker as you turn the other direction, if you are turning right and the noise is
stronger then usually it is the left side (left front).

Rear wheel bearings tend to live a lot longer on the BMW race cars which is what I have experience with.
