Space at the back of GT3 ?
As the car is a two seater - odd question someone asked me could the seats in the front slide forward so someone/luggage can temporary slip in the back of the car [where the rear seats have been removed]. I told him no as the front seats are fixed and no belts in back ?
I have a CSL which has rear seats and the front recaros do tip forward allowing access to the rear for luggage or passenger.

Someone skinny enough could slide behind the fixed back GT3 seats which do slide pretty far forward. Not that they'd be very smart to do so as they'd effectively be trapped in an accident. As for luggage, use soft sided luggage you can squeeze behind the seats.

weird
..i posted some time back and was given an affirmative ans.
my question was - can i install seats and belts (i have a kid) . actually got a PM from someone offering seats for sale. (i don't own a gt3..at least not yet)
so...the seats are fixed back and slide forward. even if i could get a seat affixed in back this is not a good idea it seems......egress post accident being a concern.
i wonder if it worth the hassle to install different seats- ie reclinable sport seats? would then be able to safely implement the rear seat........
anyone care to comment?

The stock seats flip forward, and the anchor points for the belts are all still there. I have a friend (an immediate one, so the story's not apocryphal) who did install belts in the back, and his kids just sit on the carpet. It's about as comfortable as the rear seat in any 996, with more room
Of course, needing to stay in them while on track, both of us put GT3 seats in, but only on the driver's side. That way, we can still access the back from the passenger side. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing, and it occasionally makes the passengers (PCA instructors) a little nervous, but it works.
Cheers

For kids, install the belts, and install just the seat lowers.. The seat backs are worthless.. As it is, there is 1.5" of foam back there anyway..

Ripple, Do you have sport seats or GT3 seats installed.. The anchor points are all there. I can send you a picture of what you are looking for. I removed my rear seats from my TT.. A child would be safer in the back vs in the passenger seat.. My son has fond memories sitting behind mom, in the different 911's over the years. When I had my RSA I had to drill the inboard seat belt mounting hole and install the mounting plate.
