Pagid RS19 vs RS29
I'm going to be buying a set of pads next week, any preference for the RS19 over the RS29, or is there little feedback as to the performance of the 29s to make a determination. I understand the 29s have a bit more bite, I thought this might be desireable while driving on the street. Most of the track driving (2-3 times a year) is on the Glen, a pretty good surface, so I'm not so concerned with having too much bite as one would have on a bumpy surface.
Someone had posted a Pagid contact, in California, I think. I tried to locate this but wasn't sucessful, so if you might have this info please pass it along. I thought I would give him a call.
Also could someone give me an idea as to what a good price for these guys might be, I think the 29s and 19s around the same price.
Tnx

I use Rs19's on the track and more bite is not what I need-modulation is the key for me. Not familiar with RS 29's but mine sqeals alot more then stock pads. Regards. Mike

FWIW, I am going to use the RS-29 Yellows up front and the Blacks on the rear axle. Apparently, a number of folks are trying this combination. The goal is to compensate for the supposed lack of rear brake bias on the GT3 Street. Will let you know how this works out... next Spring...
(And, if you see me swapping ends on the track... assume that my science project isn't working out... )

DCLee,
Why not RS19s on the front and RS29s on the rear? The 29s are supposed to have a bit more bite. But don't have a good idea how much more bite. Did a similar thing with my Corvette, had a problem with the nose dropping under braking, put a stickier pad in the rear and solved the problem. Didn't have to mess with the bias spring.

Re the Q about RS19s F and 29s R-- I called my all-time brake guru, Charlie @ Wrightwood Racing, and got the yellow-black recommendation. I'll give it a shot when the spring thaw comes and see how I like it.

I've done 2 track days now with my RS29 F RS19 R combo, and couldn't be happier, it seems really, really great to me, but then so did the 19's all round. I think you'd have to try them back to back to really feel where the difference is, honestly I think both combos are wonderful.

Ivan,
I've curently use BHP on my Audi and Mercedes. OK for street cars and cost effective. But don't think I would use them on the Porsche, different market all-together.
