Sounds like suprisingly few changes to the mechanicals. A Ruf Boxster conversion to the 3.6 liter sounded cool to me, until I considered resale and maintenance issues. Nice to read a review like this and conclude the stock GT3 has so much to do with Ruf's product.

Funny, I dont know why they would be so much, except for the reason that no MKI GT3's were offered here in the States.
I was Looking over the options and if you provide the car, it seems to only cost about $40k to make the GT3 into a RGT. Thats not that bad. So if you get a car "used" for maybe $85k + the $40k, $125k makes for a nice VERY limited production vehicle. To top it all off RUF is now here in the States, so it now makes the deal even sweeter.

The first RUF RGT-RS was delivered to it's owner in April 2004 in Daytona Florida. The earlier version the RGT was also present at the track.
I am told that the owner of this RGT-RS (Lives in CA) has replaced the rear duck tail with a conventional GT-3 rear wing.
Ciao,

The RGT-RS comes with an upper wing element, in CF even, to supplement the duck tail. I don't think it would make much sense to spend the money on the RGT-RS and then install the standard GT3 tail.
