How's your pumpkin RS treating you! Great story on that car by the way.

Fantastic. Yes yours is a keeper - back story, color, RS, condition - for sure.

Default Modena commercial

Still can’t beat the sound. Car takes forever to warm up though. Very non-Porsche characteristic it seems.

A little jaunt during a break in the L.A. rain showers today.

They really need a good 30 minutes before everything loosens up, especially if it’s been a while since the last run.

Default Modena and Oil Temps

Yes, I don’t know what it is but the oil temp gague doesn’t even hit nominal on the Modena until after a very long drive on the freeway whereas on the GT3 it seems to hit nominal pretty quickly.

my 430 scud is the same way. I live about 1.5 miles form "my" freeway onramp and I'll often just drive around a bit to get the temperature up before I hit the onramp so I can goose it a bit without guilt. The gt3 on the other hand is always warmed up by then (unless really cold out). I know the 996 generation cooling systems have some coolant valving that directs all the coolant away form certain areas of the engine to get things up to temperature quicker. I've always wondered if the ferraris don't employ that "warm up" strategy.

Default Delivery

Took a break from work and drove Miss Bee home last Friday. Brake pad light came on and I noticed how stiff the suspension was and lots of thumps and bumps. Ecstatic I made it up our steep driveway and into the garage.

Started with the interior - CF handbrake, CF center console, and the Geeen Slime factory Clubsport roll cage.

Also confirmed she already has the upgraded shifter and shift cables! The Rennline foot boards were a nice bonus discovery.

DME check before I drive her home.

Selling the seats that came with Miss.

Had to drill holes to make the Gloria Extinguisher fit.

Moving the pieces over to the CF console

This tool is so handy for so many things.

Already has the upgrade I wanted. Function First Shift Right and Numeric Cables!

Numeric Cables!

Absolutely love all the interior yellow surfaces- even the fastener heads- assuming those were factory(?)

PPF these surfaces, hoping protects the paint from the roll cage mating surfaces.

Touched up the silver

Towers up.

Very nice. If it doesn’t already have them, stiffer engine and gearbox mount insert will really compliment that shifter and cable set up.

The FVD mounts and Function First gearbox mount are in a spare parts box. So they may have been a planned upgrade by PO.

Default Option Code

Anyone know why the option code has black belts (39) AND yellow seat belts (XSY). Aren't they one and the same? Thanks in advance.
