I have a 996 GT3 black that I very recently put a whole lot into that I am considering selling. If you're looking for a near perfect car with about 64k miles, shoot me a message. I have tons of receipts from one of top Porsche shops in the country, Premier Sportscar Service. As well as a full body PPF and ceramic coating that was completed 1 month ago.

Man, that thing looks properly wicked! Black looks sooooo good on these (just can't do it in dusty old AZ...if you are like me and have ocd...but I bet the ceramic coating helps!)

Thanks! I love it in black but yes, my ocd takes over haha. Las Vegas is pretty damn dusty too, but the coating definitely helps and makes it easy clean.

+1. Higher mileage is almost a necessity if you’re planning on driving the car.

Best option is buying from someone who drives their car and maintains it well. Will save you many, many thousands, as they would’ve done all of the preventative maintenance (I learned this the expensive way). Would only buy low mileage to look at and admire.

The Dark Teal or Forest Metallic GT3 would make me come out of the woodwork, even though I'm currently at negative garage space.

Absolutely love Forest Green Metallic! I tried to buy a MK2 CS in the same colour many years ago.

Thanks. Long time lurker; life long learner. Rennlist and 991uk have been important sources of knowledge for me and in time I hope to give back.

I would concur. These cars (well, at least mine) are proving to be remarkably stout if basic maintenance is done as needed and on a consistent basis.

When I bought it, we were having all the PPF replaced and the paint came off with it on the front bumper. I had a high end shop that my Porsche dealer recommended do the fix though and it looks perfect. I'm also scared to add the bills on all the maintenance I have done including full cargraphic exhaust, engine out service, Ohlins, etc. I also painted the red calipers black with yellow Porsche logo. Tinted windows too. Damn, I'm not even close to stock now! hahaha

Here are the original wheels as well. They are in boxes. A little too much yellow for me. haha

just picked up.a SY and saw this post..so the original wheel color was yellow? Does that show up on the spec sheet/window sticker? Just curious.

I'm happy to report that I picked up a nice Carrara White 2005 back in March. 1 owner, 65k miles, San Diego, garaged, dealer maintained, all documents, Carfax shows a bumper cover repaint (have receipt), no stories. 1 option: thicker steering wheel. I really like stripper spec weekend cars cars so it took a while to find a GT3 with no options.

Very nice car owned by a detail oriented man who paid attention to everything. He posted it for sale here on RL and on Pelican and I closed these deal in 3 days.

What I've done so far:
Proper paint correction. The car was washed for 19 years with old school methods so a correction and ceramic coating have it looking like new.
New OEM windshield. I love fresh glass. I also had an incident when installing the roll bar...
New old stock Tequipment roll bar.
OE 997.2 GT3 RS shifter assembly.
A few OEM trims (drivers door sill, euro markers, center console, door rub strips)
PMB Performance refinished the calipers - amazing! 3 calipers were in as new condition but one had a small mark in the clearcoat that would annoy me.
Goodridge braided brake lines, Hawk 5.0 pads and SHW rotors (the actual OE supplier for these SKUs). I always replace brake lines on older cars. Cheap insurance.
Supersprint race mufflers but kept stock tips. No real drone and it sounds awesome when inside the car. I haven't hear it outside the car yet.
Michelin 4S all around. No better fast road tire exists.
Titanium stock-style lug bolts. Made in house by World Motorsports.
H&R 5mm spacers all around.

I need to sort out the suspension then it will be 100% perfect. Soon!

Sorry for the vertical pics.

To clarify, the calipers were in excellent shape but the front left one had a 1” mark in the logo. I assume brake fluid sat on it too long. Since I planned to do the brakes and the full caliper resto by PMB was super reasonable, I had all 4 sorted. I love doing stuff like that.

Rotors:
SHW Front left rotor PFL32909
SHW Front right rotor PFR33009
SHW Rear left rotor PRL31124
SHW Rear right rotor PRR31224
