Here is my take. White should pull a premium over black or silver grey, but not as much as the other more rare colors (yellow, red, blues). These are super hard to price these with some miles. Silver BAT cars with miles have not broke the 140k threshold the last few auctions. The problem is that at 55k miles, its not going to get the attention of the well-heeled "collectors." Because its a driver, it would attract a different demographic. And, lots of folks in that demographic would normally use some financing to help purchase, but that ain't happening alot right now due to high rates. That means you need to find someone willing to pay cash or mostly cash for a 20-year old car that has 55k miles. Those folks are out there, but not many. This is per a dealer friend of mine who is reporting a hard time moving "driver" quality exotics. The super low mile garage queen stuff is still moving because those buyers are not sensitive to interest rates, but that means "drivers" are not pulling as much as they were when rates were low. I know of I really nice seal gray with tons of carbon and around 40k miles that has been sitting for months asking 159k. That's the car I would buy right now if I wasn't hemorrhaging cash with a house remodel, pickleball court installation, and daughter's super expensive wedding in July!

Still curious to know if this is a us car or an import that has been federalized. Seems this white 996 gt2 is still for sale at $199k canadian (i.e., less than 150k US). But its a japan market car so you'd have to federalize it (not cheap!). https://finder.porsche.com/ca/en-CA/details/4KNWQQ

And just to add a data point, the grey gt2 that has been for sale at Elite Motorcars since at least November 2023 apparently just sold. The ask was 159 and I know from folks that were in discussions to purchase that there was wiggle room there. Hope the new owner is a rennlister and will post it up! I think it was a good buy even at 159k (cool rare color, acceptable mileage, high spec).

Was Gray really all that rare? Was it Slate Gray, or just Seal?

It was seal. And per the charts floating around the forums, there were 28 of them. So, I guess it depends on your definition of rare. Someone likely got a great deal on that car.

Got that handled. As promised I’ll post details on the car later today.
Black, gt2 one owner, my mother in law has had it in a profesional storage facility in the Bay Area for years. She’s way too old to drive it with her bad vision.

Appears to be the same one that was on the east coast of FL that sold on pcarmarket for $185k back in March. I met the the guy back in Dec that originally imported that car
