The white Canadian car seems like a great deal and I wish someone would buy it so I'm no longer tempted. 150(ish) for a white car with driver miles seems like a good deal (even without oem seats).
This video on youtube is interesting about British Porsche market.
I agree. Cost of borrowing $ is going up and flippers are having to stay with their asset longer; ADM is crazy. What can keep the prices up is inflation and the current situation on car market labor- Honda announced they will increase 11% salary to their workers....

I do think $ is better parked on young special classics then the latest & greatest….

So it could be a good time to get into a GT2 on the market down swing but willing to hold for 5+ years to see a probable profit or at the most “keeping” its value. But then again- for enthusiasts that actually drive their cars is choosing wisely if you don’t want heavy depreciation- the guy who has the garage queen loses at the end of the day…

For sure prices are down but they will come back.
It may take a recession but there is always a wave afterwards.

Thanks!

This seller is clearly a believer in the old adage that you can never pay too much for a Porsche, you can just buy it too soon.

I sure like this car, but like my wife more and I would have neither in short order if I bought this!

@mnwild you still have yours?

Craig, don't make the mistake I made and go test drive one. I did that about a month ago and it was not good for my mental health. The car was bone stock and was very fun to drive. Ugh. Why am I such a peasant?

Wonder what that car at Indigo could really be purchased for?

I've let a lot of good cars go in the past. But one I wish I would have purchased when I had a chance was a GR 996 GT2 about 10 years ago when I lived in WA. It had been driven a little but it was clean and had been maintained. The guy was going to let it go to me for low 50's. Someone else got a deal. 996 GT2s look so good from every angle.

Oh, I feel your pain... And I wished I had not said no to an independent dealer when offered a genuine '73 Carrera RS for $10,000 some time around 1994.

But $50+K for a lightly used GT2 was amazing at that time. Ironic that the 996 GT3 and GT2 cars were a hard sell after the 997 appeared. My '04 GT3 sat on the dealer's lot for a month before I picked it up in 2006 with 5,500 miles. It will be 18 years of ownership this December 6th.

As you know, Craig, that was about the time I sold a couple sub-8k mile 997.1 GT3 RSs for about $115k each and I thought I had done well. At least the proceeds went into real estate that has done at least as well, but it still hurts!
