Hey Thomas, good music bro.

You need at least a GT3 to find inspiration for your music.

For some countries like Belgium, or Germany, people are still jealous about your professional success (well, private also, I guess).
Your work, you earn money, why not a very nice car.

It all depends your behaviour too. Behave as an *******, people will consider you bad.

my $.02

They probably would.

In fact, I think you should get a used beetle to emphasize your artistic image and give me the 993 to indicate your willingness to share your fortune.

But then again, why should you give a rats a** what I, or anybody else, think? Afterall, we're probably not going to hate you less if you stick to the 993 .

I say go for it

Exactly, buy it, enjoy it, but remember, respect it and get as much track time, tuition and education as you can. You are young enough that if you start now you could well run in Le Mans in a few years, something I'll always regret not doing.
Look at Nick Mason, the drummer with Pink Floyd, he raced at Le Mans, his team came in second I believe, and he also has the biggest collection of Ferraris in the UK.
Work hard, play smart, live long.
Well done!!

I agree. I know a guy here in the United States who owns not one - but two - professional sports teams, plus the arena in which they play. And guess what? Nobody hates him for it. He's a nice guy!

Drive whatever you want.

I wish this was true but not in Scandinavia
You can be the nicest person on the planet (like myself) and people around here would still think you're a ***** and showoff for driving a Porsche.

Gets you thinking... hmm.. ehm.. Maybe I am???

The unfortunate reality of this world is - Yes, some will.
....but don't let that stop you.
Think of the other young people you will inspire - They will go on to acheive great things.

The people who resent success are not the kind of people I want to be around, anyway.

It's already been said, but if there are people that are upset at what you have, so be it... they are not the type of person you want, or would associate yourself with. If you wanted a damn kia, it wouldn't be up to us. It's your desicion, I have a feeling it is already made, don't let other people you DON"T EVEN KNOW, let alone care about, discourage you.

On the other hand, you may get some unwanted attention with the car.

Quoted by Macfly:
"Look at Nick Mason, the drummer with Pink Floyd, he raced at Le Mans, his team came in second I believe, and he also has the biggest collection of Ferraris in the UK."
This I didn't know! Pink Floyd just went from tied for my favorite with Led Zeppelin, to first. Have any of you guys local around here gone to one of the "Which one's Pink" shows? Pink Floyd cover band, and their damn good at it.
Dusty,
Player hate?

23 isn't too young to be driving a GT3. The attitude of the owner is more important than the age.

P.S> I have a friend that's only 20 driving a GT3. The only thing that bothers me about that is he got his GT3 before I got mine.

and if you don't have it, buy his book "At The Limit." included is a superb audio CD capturing the sound of some historic racers blasting down the front straight at silverstone, at full-chat. the ferrari 312t, 512m and brm v-16 are standouts. the kemmer 935 k3 sounds delicious as well.
