I don't know - i love the color.
i had not hear of porsche refusing a color - there are ways to get it done however. But the poot is moot for me right now since i will probably be shopping the used market for a daily driver (996 or Turbo & a cayenne for my wife).
Maybe if the market were better i would buy new but i doupt it right now - i'm price sensitive

Cupcar: You're think of the Porsche of old. My friend was on the PCA national staff and is good friends with the owner of the dealership he bought thru so he definitely had the right connections. Even so his Gulf Blue order was refused and he ended up with white. Ruf on the other hand is happy to build you a car exactly the way you want it and two of their upcoming series of GT3 derived cars will be Gulf Blue.

This thread has been all over the place, but I am compelled to comment on the notion that stainless sill plates will not scratch like plastic. While you might think so, way wrong!!!! I've had' em on a number of cars - these things are readily scuffed.

Yea, It's got plenty of cheesy options like power sport seats, aluminum dials, crests and some other stuff but not the full bad taste treatment. I'm thinking + / - $95 range.

The lightest solution for you guys is helicopter-tape.. Just remove your sill, whatever version it is and apply clear heli-tape. It is virtually scuff proof..

and how are the other options cheesy?
these great pix from the gallery of 20C4S illustrate the need for a cheese knife quite well I think.....

the pictures don't do this particular GT3 justice...it was the one used at Barber Motors Sports for the model's introduction last year....looked decidedly better in person..

You all went off topic but appear to be having fun.
Used GT3 prices in the US. We know its all market driven. The new GT3 prices have centered on plus or minus of MSRP rather than on dealer's invoice. Option prices are negotiable too but most buyers appear to be paying MSRP on those as well. I think the used GT3 prices are higher than they should be, but again buyers are comparing against the new car MSRP.

agreed - the GT-3 is really strong right now and usually trading within 10% of sticker. so for now a good investment opposed to a 996 (all models) which is dropping something like 20%+ after 1 year. even more on trade in. the possible exception is the turbo Cab - but then again these are trading at list or slightly below.
The GT-3 should be good for another year or two before gradually dropping in price in the used market.
*i know the GT-3 does not have a custom color option - 99* but some of the old porsche can-do attitude still exists.
