GT3 Brochure
Did anyone ever get one of these??? My dealer just gave me one bound in hard cover. Probably ordered it from Porsche North America. It took a couple of months to receive it. If you have a GT3 and never received this hard covered version, talk to your dealer. The book discusses all area's of the GT3 and it's a nice read. Great for collection purposes...

I got one from ebay for my collection, then the dealer gave me one, and I snaked one in German from the factory dealer in Stuttgart. I keep one in my glovebox. Did you get the packet under the passenger seat?

The hardcover brochure is nice but the "Product Information 911 GT3" book goes into more detail. Not all dealers want to part with it though as it's marked as confidential sales training material.

Steve in FL is totally correctomundo, get you hands on the "Product Information GT3" sent to the dealers. 50 pages of great information. Little things like the rod bolts are titanium as well as the rods, crnkshaft is nitrided, one way valve to create crankcase vacuum, all the changes from a Mk 1 GT3, options, etc.
It was given to sales staff at dealers, most of whom probably exchanged it immediately for a comic book or something else more interesting to them.
Should be in glovebox of all GT3 cars, owners would read it.

GT3 stuff
My dealer sent me a hard cover book, large framed wall poster, a porsche box with a 43rd scale cup car ,a porsche hat, delux key ring, coffee cup, golf *****, DVD. Then when I picked the car up they packed in the entire floor display, kind of hard plactic banners when hung on the frame next to each other make up one large display. On top of that they are 7hrs from my home and call me often to see how I like the car. These guys are great! Ramsey Porsche in Des Moines IA

Sloth: Since you had your car shipped from out of state the shipping dealer probably just tossed that packet in the car. Delivery on my Boxster entailed going thru all the paperwork that came with the car, including the packet you describe, and I expect the same will happen with the GT3. I'd be perfectly happy with them just handing me the keys though.

Cupcar: Ok, you stumped me. I thought I had the product info book memorized but damn if I remember the one way valve for crankcase vacum. What section was that in?

I tried to get my salesguy to give me a copy of the GT3 Product Information book. He gave me a song and dance about how they couldn't give them out because they were marked confidential or something. A couple weeks later I was cruising on eBay and found the same salesguy trying to auction it off with a starting bid of $100.

I bought both books on eBay. The info book is much much better than the sales book. I paid $50 for the info book and am glad I did. I paid more than double that for the sales book, and wish I hadn't.

Mike,
If you bought them from some guy in MD with an AOL e-mail address that used the word audi as part of it, that's my sleezebag salesguy. I have half a mind to drop a dime on him to PCNA but they probably wouldn't do anything, so why bother?
