Steve in Fl-

Look at page 6 second column, second paragraph with a dot beginning with word "reduction in pumping loses" for the valve citation. I'm wondering if it would work on an air-cooled car to cut windage losses...I think it goes from the same area where the normal vent comes out of the crankcase on air and water cooled to the oil tank.

Cupcar: Found it. I wonder if the need for the valve has anything to do with fairly high placement of the oil tank in a GT3? Althought I imagine the tank would be in a different location for the GT3RS race car which they mention originally tried the valve on.

I'm not sure the tank is any higher, would need to measure it and compare it to tank heights of air-cooled chassis mounted tank.
