I have a Tequipment bar available. Sold my GT3 without it. Leather covered in ok shape.

Reading your list.... Did you say "pinned coolant lines, JB weld"? In my opinion, that's a band-aid, not a real fix. In any case, nice car and nice project. Hope you get it out on the track soon, if you haven't already!

Wanted a cage that bolted to the rear top mounts this time around so I went with the GMG. Also considered Cantrell's as I'm local but since I had GMG stuff everywhere else this seemed to fit the bill. I had the Agency Power cage similar to the Tequipment in my old 996 C4S before and it worked well. Both are nice.

Pinned vs Welded is a debate I don't want to get too much into. We had the engine completely out and replaced everything. We overhauled the entire cooling system with larger CSF radiators and replaced every coolant line and hose from back to front. I think it was some crazy number like 40 hoses in total replaced. If it touched the cooling system, we placed it with new OEM or better. Where the hoses meet these sleeves and housings, we pulled every fitting out and replaced with new, JB welded them in and pinned them. I believe there were something like 13 fittings to do and we did even those under/behind the topside oil heat dissipator thing. They're not going anywhere and I would do this again over welding aluminum to cast parts.

Car has been to the track quite a bit between Laguna Seca in 100 degree heat, The Ridge at about 90 degrees, and driven to and from SF and Seattle during the forest fires in 115 degree heat. No issues and the thermostat doesn't move a bit.

Will look to get a dyno day in sometime soon. I didn't get a chance to set a baseline between upgrades so a topline will have to do with the car as is. I think it'll be good but we'll see.

Quick Update:

Mounts are built.
Cage is in.
Almost ready to install the seats and harnesses.

That was the hardest cage install I've ever done. There are wiring harnesses on both sides where the bottom seat belt mounts are surrounding by plastic under the carpet that needed to be cut out.

Heading to 425 motorsports to get some more hardware as there isn't enough room to mount the lap belts properly. 6 hours down. The finish line is near.

Default Pinned vs welded

I didn’t mean to start that debate. I had seen you list and thought that perhaps you “only” resealed with JB weld!

Enjoy!!

Big thanks to the teams at GMG and 425 Motorsports.

New Seats

New Schroth Harnesses

Ready to go

Stock Sport Seats Ready to be taken out

Roll Cage Jenga

New OZ Alleggerita HLTs with Toyo R888s

These are the best designed seat mounts I've ever seen. They sit lower than any other I've found and the sliders are super useful. These little welded bits that mount in the slider to the seat mount are stupid smart.

Sparco Red Leather QRTs

Mounts put together

GMG Cage is in!

I need to lose weight

Stock Seats - 55.8lbs each

New Seats with Harnesses and Mounts - 41.4lbs each

Done! Seats and harnesses are awesome.

Considering selling the GT3. Have found an incredible deal on something new.

If interested, let me know!

Those Sparco seats are very similar in look to the Recaro Pole Position. Like the red! Subscribed.

Bumping this up. I am going to sell the car.

Will put a post here first before the nationwide listings.

The car currently is setup as is above with the seats and cage. Would like it to go somewhere it'll get used properly and with all of the goodies and spares I have.

PM me for details.

I suspect that this will sell quickly; you have gone well beyond what would normally be expected on a typical build/refresh. Good luck

Based on that assessment, you might be surprised how little mileage is factoring into the number of phone calls I've received.

Will update everyone as I have throughout the build of this car. Excited to see the next life of this car in the proper hands.

Happy to share all details and the math is correct.
