Default Just acquired one myself...

Hello Folks, I just joined this forum, as I was fortunate enough to acquire my first GT2 ('03 Silver/Black) the day after Thanksgiving. I was able to pick this up for $5K under invoice, and can't wait to finish breaking it in.

I have owned a '99 996 Coupe, an '01 996TT, a couple of Boxsters and a race prepared '74 911...really looking forward to taming this new beast and interacting with you all.

Congrats. It's a great car and I know you'll enjoy it. Wonderful color choice, BTW.

Rockitman,

Thanks for your welcome, and all I can say is that I had a permagrin during the entire first day of driving...and I was even short-shifting in order to break "her" in properly...reminds me of my old sport bikes but with 2 extra wheels and more sheetmetal.

Sidemarkers are here but have not had time to pick them up. Probably will not do GT3 seats anytime soon. Use the picture all you want....I don't get tired of looking at it although the sidemarkers do scream at you. When I put the clear markers on, I will take a winter pic.

Wattster: You don't know wheels from shinola -- stick to riddles. Those aren't Fikse's in the photo -- it's the new GT2 factory wheel -- Porsche decided to improve upon the looks of your wheel and make it lightweight.

Reverend Wattster: You're just jealous -- can't believe you got clear side markers.

Besides, in your case, the operative word is "commit" not "pay" retail, so I understand you can't help yourself. Remember the 11th Commandment -- Thou shall not commit retail.
