Default Oil in spark plugs, all 6 in my 2007 Cayman S

When changing my spark plugs and ignition coils in my 2007 Cayman S I noticed oil was in every plug. The car was misfiring so I changed out the plugs and coils but now I still smell burning oil. Could this be the O-rings or something else?

Not being very familiar with your 2007 Cayman S in the 996 Porsche forum, however, I'll venture a wild *** guess - residual oil in your cylinders being burned off. Is it consuming oil? If so, then yes, your O-rings are bad. Look up piston O-rings. Let us know what you find. Also, how does it smell warm? Just wondering....

When you say there was oil "in" every plug what do you mean. The plugs themselves were oil fouled or there was oil in the plug tubes?

There is oil in the spark plugs, so I think it's the o ring seals on the spark plug tube that is allowing oil to leak into the spark plugs. I guess I was hoping someone would tell me I don't have to take the sparks and ignition coils off again because I just replaced everything but the spark plug tubes and the upper and lower o ring seals but looks like I'll have to. I guess I should have done a little research first. .

Not showing any O-rings on the coils, so that must be it. Also not showing spark plug tubes like on a 996 engine. Seems simple enough to replace after pulling the ignition coils.

Default Spark plug tubes

It does have spark plug tubes with a upper and lower o ring seal, pretty much the same as the 996. If you don't have a lift it's not a really fun or easy job. Thank for the part number, have a great fourth!

Definitely see the Cayman thread. The engines aren't quite the same as the m96. I'd be curious to see if the issue is scoring, but the Cayman forum will likely steer you in the right direction.
