Good idea. Didn't think of that. Much simpler than trying to sort out different file types and codecs for various device platforms.

Engine cold

Engine at temp

Bore score, motor is done. Either drive it and feed it oil until is grenades or shut it down and start the repair process.

Update : I got visually confirmation of the scoring on the passenger side bank on what I think is the middle cylinder. I had some small metal shaving in the filter too. I used a desalt horoscope which as a little too bulky to look everywhere it it provided evidence of at least one cylinder scord. Just wantd to get back and close the loop that the evidence supports the forum diagnosis.

In a separate thread I’m looking for shops that can perform the repairs. I don’t want performance upgrades, just want this fixed as a I love the car. Everything is going Lise is great with the car. The costs I’ve seen posted are terrifying so not sure what I’ll ultimately end up doing. I’m naively going with that my core is ok. This is way beyond my skills and tools to repair myself, so that is not an option.

For those on this thread that have been done this road I’d like to hear the steps/process and your experiences with it.

I recently got a CEL with code P0011, which one of the causes I found in research was continuous oil flow into the vat/vat piston chamber. I’ll be rechecking th Aos now too.
