Default Looking for indy shop for bore/cylinder score repair in DC / NOVA / MD area

I’m looking for recommendations and experiences specific to fixing bore or cylinder scoring in the 996 m96. I live near BWI in MD and would like to stay somewhat local to that. Thanks.

I don't have a great recommendation for you. But I do have a 3.6L M96 that the cylinders are still good on. I'm in Maryland, you can PM if you decide you want a used block.

The rod bearings were starting to go, but it still ran fine when I removed it from the car. We are close enough to each other that you could take a look at it and I'm willing to disassemble it for you to look inside.

I wouldn't rebuild with factory bores.

If you were going to keep it forever, rebuilds are like regular maintenance. Where/how you rebuild will determine when the next rebuild will be.
