Default Sunroof problem

I have noticed the rear edge of my sunroof ('02 996) does not do that last little rise when closed to seal with the roof, i.e. the rear is down slightly and not level with the roof. It actually lets water leak in.....just like a British car.

Is this a common problem on 996's (never had any issues with my 993 sunroof) and is there a simple fix? Or is a labor intensive, multi-hour disassembly of the sunroof to replace expensive parts?

Cheers.

Try opening it all the way and holding the button for I think 10 seconds or so, then closing it and doing the same with the button. The switch sometimes gets Alzheimers, and this may reset it.

Thanks Mike! That did it. I had been just pushing the button once and letting the roof close on its own.
I love fixes that are simply due to operator error.
