This was great times today. Our cars , well there amazing. I'm restoring mine still, just limping around basically. But Hey, Let me tell you I had my first ride in a healthy 996 just now, moments ago. I'm hooked, I bought my 996 to restore, she is very unhealthy at the moment, but Iam is very knowledgeable, very friendly and he will help me iron the rest out. His 996 runs amazing, It runs better than every Corvette that I've ever owned, I've had c3, c4, and a c5 z06. The pure refinement and handling of these 996 cars is very satisfying, It gave me chill bumbs, no lie. Anyway thanks IaM

Coming from 7 previous Mustang GT's I can attest to the feeling. Your car is 1 cam sensor away from feeling new, and you'll love it.

I can't wait, I've pored a lot of time , money and blood into this 996. I mean my hands are all cut up, bruised and there still a ton of oil under my fingernails. But hey This is worth it, it's good fun for us devil Dogs. This is my Dream Car, I've always wanted a Porsche, but I waited to long to buy, when I started looking, I was looking air cooled, well that's just out of my budget. I did not want to settle for anything less , it had to have Carrera on the back. I'm glad that I was able to acquire this 996. It's a foot in the door in the right direction , I'm glad that I see now, just what I have on my hands, and it'll fly , one day soon, cam sensor here you come, my way .

After We Go threw the suspension after the sensor and after the engine mounts, then she will be like new, like brand new, I can't wait. I'm about to start ordering more parts. I know with the popping front end and rear noise that there something going on. We will find it, Good stuff, Good Times!!

i think it depends on what you're looking for. The aftermarket ones can increase the tight feeling of the car but you'll also experience more NVH. I personally replaced mine with Rein OEM mounts that I got for dirt cheap on Amazon. My TechArt exhaust is loud enough I didn't want to increase the NVH any more.

+996 The stock mounts are good. You see a lot of complaints on here from people who have installed the more aggressive mounts.

O for what it's worth, our Porsche 996 are not daily drivers, just toys.

These are American Made and lifetime warranty, In my opinion, you can't beat that for A Part That's Simple to make

I installed the semi solid mounts and had some unpleasant vibrations in the heart of my usual RPM range for cruising (3-4K). I went back to OEM (Rein) mounts, which were relatively inexpensive and IMO much better for a cab.

BTW, nice story about meeting a fellow 996 enthusiast.
