Clutch Pedal Sticks at Shifts Above 4500 RPM
I've done a ton of research on sticky clutch pedals on this forum and others, but I've yet to come across anyone having a sticky clutch pedal at high RPM only. My car is a 2002 C4S. I had the clutch replaced about 10K ago. Went with a single mass setup. This problem has surfaced twice now. I had the shop rebuild the clutch when this issue surfaces about 1000 miles after the rebuild and it did go away for about 8K miles. Now the issue is back. This is not a daily driver so it's been over a year since they went back in. No strange noises from the clutch and I just finished replacing the master and slave cylinders to see if I could cure it, but no dice.
So.. anyone every run into this? I'm assuming it is some sort of harmonic that is locking something up interally. I'm guessing maybe the release bearing or the pivot on the lever arm. I'm going to take it to another shop, but thought I would solicit some ideas from you guys. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Glad you posted this issue. Same issue just happened to me at an autocross event. Though it was just me.
Very recent IMS and clutch replacement.
I'll be interested to see any suggestions posted.

What made you go to a single mass flywheel? Just asking because the OE is a dual mass flywheel. The flywheel is more important than one would think. When you mention that it is some sort of harmonic that is locking up the shift...the OE dual mass flywheel was specifically designed to handle the shift harmonics. So maybe you need to go back to OE.

I'd second a recommendation to go back to a OE DMF.
When I had mine it chewed through a brand new throw out bearing when it was only 3,000kms old which caused a horrible loud squeak when it was hot.
LWFWs are more trouble than they are worth.
