Per the Chicago PCA events, there is a Porsche & Pastries event at Labriola in Oak Brook this Saturday the 1st from 8-11. I'll be there in the 996tt (Northwestern alumni Turbo license plate, was supposed to be an Eagle Scout one... promise I'm not as pretentious as that looks )

Check out the Chicago PCA group, I joined and keep trying to find time to attend the events (having a 3yr old makes timing not always cooperate sadly). I'm usually not a club sort, but do intend to keep the car for a long time and the club has good diversity in its events.

If you are handy and willing to either DIY or spend money, might be a good driver. Lots of odd things wrong or off about it. Helped a friend of a friend look at it a few weeks back, salesman did the "It's a Porsche for cheap to sell on a Ford lot" when we started pointing out issues, felt like he had 0 desire to deal.
