Thanks everyone - I must say I am feeling better these days. Takes time especially when you have lost both parents. Life's just not the same.

I'm embarrassed to admit that i never realized my 1998 Land Rover Discovery only had 170hp and towing capacity of 1600lbs. It always seems stout enough but that was just towing my small 600lb boat.
My poor '98 LR moaned and groaned on the maiden voyage of my recently restored 1966 20' Airstream Globetrotter. I took my wife to Coupeville Wa. for the Penn Cove Mussel Festival last month and 35mph up hills is no fun and unfortunately lots of hills.

New LR3 has 7700lbs towing and a beast.

All the best!

I'm not sure if you've read "Good Week" recently, but I also sold my Porsche (sniffle sniffle). I miss it everyday, but my wife's SUV is worn out to say the least and so I will be hunting deals on the ones she likes - i.e. Tahoe, Yukon, or XC90. Hope to get her squared away soon, so that I can begin my hunt for another 996 or something similar.

Cheers from Georgia!
Hey good hearing from you! Sorry to hear about the Porsche going bye bye but hey they come and go and lots of C4S's out there.
Not like selling my 1959 super sunroof which took me over 100 martini's before I was able to function again.

Sorry to hear about your mum, condolences.

I drive a Mazda 3 around sometimes, they are great cars. You can fit a full set of 996 5 spoke wheels in the back too!
