Default 996 coilover compatibility

Recently my 996 standard suspension/ struts have become crappy, I've been told by my mechanic it needs to be changed. I want to upgrade to coilovers.

I have found a set of lightly used Cross JIC 996 2004 turbo coilovers. I am wondering will these physically fit on my:
996 2002 C2

Has anyone had experience fitting turbo/c4s struts to c2/c4?

-What is the difference between all these coilovers besides the weight springs?
-Would they physically fit my car?
-If i were to put turbo coilovers on a C2 would it be too hard of a ride.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

in the "coil over" world you may find many slightly used set ups . there is a reason for that........tread slowly and get some road testing

C2 / C4 / Cabrio / Targa / Turbo all
take different applications

Despite all the 'will not fit' messages, my indy put PSS10's on my
C2 Anniversary car
there were no upcharges / comments about fitment

maybe start here

TireRack and Carnewal are also good sources

Used coilovers are fine. I've purchased three different sets on RL and have come out well each time.

It's actually the opposite of what's stated above, the rears will work fine from a turbo setup, it's the AWD fronts that have a different config.

I will have a set of Moton Clubsport 2-way remotes available pretty soon for a C2. But if you don't track much they are overkill.

Just had Darin and Chris at West End Alignment insstall new PSS10 on my 996 AE car. I really liked the M030 set up but the ride height was not appealing to me. I looked at going used but Carnewal had them on sale under 2k delivered.

With X74 ride height and a 5 setting the ride home was positive. Feed back; stiffness feels about the same as my low mile M030 (at the 5 setting) and looks right.

I will add two clicks firmer and do a little canyon run this week. I expect it will be a little more responsive and flatter on hard cornering.

I did have it corner balance with what Darin called a aggressive street alignment.

Moving from a stock 996 set up to PSS10 will be night and day.

FEAL now offers a Carrera (and now Turbo) setup for a very good price... http://fealsuspensionstore.com/produ...rsche-996-2wd/

They look nice...

I am very happy with my H&R street performance coilovers - I highly recommend them for everyday driving and one or two track days per year.

I did consider FEAL but couldnt find much feed back from P car owners that have lived with them.

For me, since i dont track this car and really just wanted a great ride and lower x74 ride height the PSS10 fit the bill.

If anyone has installed the FEAL I am sure a few of us, me included would like to hear some feed back.

Did PSS-9's on my '99. Cannot say enough good things about the way they drove and rode.

Two clicks firmer where, rebound or compression, either way it's not going to just give you flatter corner just because you went stiffer. There is more to it than damping/rebound settings

Front coilovers/struts are completely different between the C2 and C4/C4S/Turbo/GT2/GT3

On PSS10 there is only one adjustment. +/- increase both comp and reb.
