Right now for "driving" event on Sunday, I am 50/50 between track rental for us and doing go-kart racing for couple of hours. With Karts, everyone will get to drive and chances of someone ending up with big $$$ due to engine failure are low.
I have looked into some things: First - as far as a real track rental - near impossible due to insurance requirements.
It seems dates have been picked for the 996 weekend - but if the group really wants "track time" - I suggest waiting till the local P club rents out Spring Mountain and we can join them
there is a slight chance I could arrange for us to do "parade laps" at Spring Mountain - at safe speed behind a pace car... this was a kind offer - but that's a long drive down there and back for only parade laps.
Cars and Coffee would be willing to set-up a special area for our group - I know the guy that runs it and can easily arrange for this.
the drive we have planned for after C&C will be great!
