Serious post about the meet, and I will give this speech again before we depart from the C&C.
For the cruise portion and driving around town, please obey the speed-limits and do NOT engage in the impromptu drag racing or reckless driving! We are there to have fun, and enjoy the weekend, not to get tickets or arrests. Everyone knows that we are in cars that can do 2x the speed-limit anywhere in the state!
If one person gets stopped, it is 99% likely that all of us will get pulled over as the group. I don't want anybody ****ing around and us ending up on the news for crashing or for racing. This is categorical! Same goes for drinking and driving. If you are participating in the night portion of the activities, leave the car in the hotel and take a cab or uber. I don't want anyone getting a DUI or crashing the car!
I don't want ANYONE being stupid while driving! 20+ Porsches will attract attention by themselves, driving fast will create negative publicity and bad perception not for just Porsche drivers but for car guys everywhere.
I am dead serious about this! Do not **** around, and do not test the boundaries on this. I want this to be clean, safe fun. Not being stupid and ending up in financial or legal trouble!
Update: I'm driving in to Vegas after work Friday; I'll be at Harrah's on Friday and Saturday nights.
If the power cuts out in Las Vegas sometime next weekend, it will likely be the AC freezing up because of the thermostat setting in my room. Sorry about that...I like it COLD. I expect to drill nipple holes through the sheets. I can take and sign some 8x10 glossies for $5 each. I will NOT bring 8x10 glossies for just $10 each. Let me know.
You know...now that I thought about it. We got 20+ 170mph cars in Vegas. We should pull the Bellagio job. Run in, grab $100MM, $5MM per nose. Then scamble out of the casino, towards Mexican border. They can't catch us. Plan?
Would be one hell of a success story. I am the one with the biggest trunk, so $100MM fits just right inside of it. I got 20 Porches behind me to run interference. No one in their right mind would suspect the lowly Mercedes as the money car. Porsches get pulled over one by one, no one has the money. DA lets everyone go due to insufficient evidence. We reconvene a month later, you get your $5MM lunch bags.

Also, not sure if addressed prior, there is an entrance fee to Valley of Fire. Not sure about the Lake Mead portion of the drive.
the entrance fee into Valley of Fire is $10 for non-NV residents and $8 for NV residents.
As for Lake Mead...... if you were to enter the park at the south gate (where hoover dam is - you'd have to pay about $20 to get in) But the office at the North Gate (where y'all will enter) has been closed for over 2 years due to all the cutbacks. So if you enter in the North Gate - there is no fee.
