yes it is a 2005 and it is a 996

my understanding is that the base Carreras were 997s in 05 and the TT and 4S stayed as 996s

Wow!!! Stunning configuration, that spoiler makes the car resemble a 993 from the rear. Any idea where one can buy that rear spoiler?

That's the OE aerokit spoiler. I know that Suncoast Parts used to sell the complete aerokit, but I'm not sure if they do anymore. It is quite expensive.

mine is the XAH.... not sure if they can be purchased now... was told when new the option was over 7k

per the link below: There were four factory aerokits
XAA - Aerokit Cup (this is what everybody calls the 996 aero)
XAE - "Carrera" Aerokit (much rarer in the US, a little more common in the UK)
XAF - Turbo Aerokit
XAH - Carrera 4S Aerokit
