I know there was a thread a couple months ago about a vendor that sold DT-40 with a free oil analysis. I've searched but can't seem to find it, if anyone knows the source.

Maybe the deal is no longer offered, but I need to get some DT-40, and a free analysis would be great. Thanks!

It's be super nice if they had a 10 qt package for under $100. I guess even a steer can dream, huh?

 

You'll always need make up oil... If not, every 5 changes you have enough left over for a full service.

DT40 is cheaper on the RND site than any other Porsche vendor, and only Amazon is a couple bucks cheaper.. No one else can supply a free UOA with commentary thats Porsche M96/97 specific.

 

What vendor is the UOA done through? I've heard how Blackstone isn't a great one to use but I don't see the vendor listed on RND's site either.

The cheapest I ever found DT40 was last Christmas season at SKSpeed.com. They had a $5 off any purchase coupon plus an extra 10% off for the holidays. I got 12 quarts for $9.03/each plus free shipping. StreetSideAuto.com still has a great price at the moment at $9.36/each and free shipping for orders over $100.

BUT

When you add in the UOA and do the math, RND costs $1.76/qt more than that deal I got last year. This equates to getting the UOA for only $21.13 spread over the cost of 12 quarts. That's a slick deal in my opinion.

 

It is my understanding that Lake Speed Jr. is doing the analysis. I met him last year, he knows his stuff!

 

I bought the "oil change pack" from RND a few months ago. It Came with the free oil analysis kit which I promptly sent into them. I think I heard back in 2 or 3 weeks with full oil analysis. Fortunately the numbers were all good, so I have a decent baseline for my next oil change (in the spring of '17).

 

Correct. The Driven Lab provide the analysis services for RND Euro Parts.

The Knowledge Gruppe (Lake Speed Jr. is a member of TKG) provides the commentary and overall report for each analysis.

 

I was with Paul at the seminar where Lake Speed Jr. spoke... very cool guy... super knowledgeable when it comes to talking about "oil".

 

I emailed RND Euro support to see if you could buy the analysis as a separate part # as I've got a few samples that have stacked up. Unfortunately they didn't consider my question worth replying to.
