All that being said, one of my neighbours purchased an air cooled targa '85 or '86. Running, driving etc. A driver car. no rust just needs good detailing an some love. He responded to kijij ad (like craigslist in Canada). He bought it in '21. First guy to get there. Ready?
$14K canadian.

That's a great deal, but stealing from the elderly never seems like a good idea to me. Karma's a bitch.
I would like to think that I would have told them what it was actually worth, and offered them a good but fair price.
