Sounds a Little Scammy........
I answered an ad on CL and this is what I received. I suspect it comes from some guy huddled over a computer in a faraway land. The ad mentions a red convertible, but go to the pic link and you have a gorgeous black Carrera.
Hi, my name is Sonya Bairon
My 1986 Porsche 911 never had or need any paint/body work done, garaged keep always, without any mechanical problems, tires and wheels are in great shape as well, electric is working perfectly. The engine is 3.2L, V6, Manual Transmission shifts perfectly and the car has only 122.000 miles. Has a clean and clear US title under my name and there are no liens or loans on it. I am selling it at this final price of ($6000 including delivery to your address), because I want to sell the car very quickly. My husband passed away 2 months ago (he had a heart attack). This car brings me bad memories and I can no longer afford 2 cars. That's the main reason I need to sell it. My daughter and I, decided to sell the house and we moved to my sister in Omaha, NE. Unfortunately I can't conclude this transaction personally because my work involves a lot of traveling, but I left everything prepared for the sale.
I want to use eBay's services for the safety of both of us so if you're interested in purchasing this car just email me with your full name, address including the zip code and phone number, so I can notify eBay that you are selected as my possible buyer and they will contact you to explain the entire procedure.
P.S.: Here you have pictures with the car

Thank you !

total scam. this is BS. They want your info so THEY can call and pretend to be eBay. If you enjoy sport play along (fake address...)

They probably have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn, as well.

I'm amazed they still try this one. I guess people do fall for it.
You'll probably find that the actual car was indeed for sale a few months ago, and the scammers have cloned the pics & ad. Nothing comes up when you google the VIN though.

Yep, common scam! I always love to ask them where is the car. I always get a lot great answers with that one. I usually respond with "awesome, when can I come see it!" and... then I get a even dumber answers like... "Its on a military base, it's already boxed up for transport, etc.etc. etc." If they tell me a legitament address, then I say, "when can I come by?" No response. Or... no worries sir, we'll have eBay handle the transaction and I'll ship the car to you. If you don't like the car, you can ship it back to us.
hahahaha... always the same lines and broken English

They really screwed this up... they forgot to Photoshop the Florida tag on the ground... even showed the VIN hood label.
220 TMO
VIN - WPOABO914GS121395
Regardless, if it's too good to be true, then it's... What? Yep, you got it!
