Default car must sit for a week - how to prepare?

Any suggestions? I don't want a dead battery. I never would have worried.

Thanks!

Make sure its locked, not locking it drains the battery among other more obvious problems...

Lock it, if it's out in the sun and it's got a leather dash, put a windshield shade in... Open with key when you get back, the remote won't work! Fugeddaboudit!😄👍😎

One week? What do you think could happen in that short of a time? My winter storage (months) is a battery tender, Stabile in the gas, and tires inflated 5lbs above norm. That's it.

You need to put it on jacks.
Remove the wheels and hang them on wall mounts that will keep them rotating so gravity will not cause problems.
Drain all the fluids.
Fill the cabin with moth *****.
Load up the engine bay with pest repellents.
Put it in one of those inflatable bubbles.

When you get back, rebuild the motor and suspension.

Just part it out now while everything is still identifiable.

Agreed. Definitely needs to be on jack stands to keep the tires from flat spotting.

Either this ^^ or just leave it idling while you're gone.

Just hand the keys to the teenager down the street and have him start it for you every day. All will be fine.

Dude...either you're trying to pull our collective legs with your posts...or you need to chill...

You can't not drive a 996 for a week or it will catastrophically explode when you try to start it.

You forgot to mention that the tires must be filled with nitrogen. I would also change the wheel caps while you're in there.

Good laughs. I assume they meant weeks.

I might add to leave a few cases of beer in the frig for the trouble.
