I too installed the Rein brand ones about 5K miles back and they seem to work fine. One thing that you may also want to look at since it happened to me. You may want to look at the state of the transmission mount. My indi brought it to my attention after driving my car and suggesting that I get the motor mount replaced. The Transmission mount on my car was in bad shape from having to support both the tranny and the motor due to the bad/extended motor mounts. I replaced it as I was dropping my whole motor and trans, now pressing it in and out was a bit of a pain but plenty of DIY info and tutorials for both the motor mounts and tranny out there.

I did mine this weekend with Reins and I think the pipes did go up a bit, it wasn't dramatic. The vibration of an unoccupied seat at idle is 95% gone now.
Very easy to do though, although one of the grommets for the airpump with the built in nut rotted away and I need to order another one though

My cabriolet is 100% stock so I went with "Rein" purchased at AutohausAz which is frequently less expensive than Pelican Parts. I paid $95.99 each.
It's one of the easiest repairs on the 996.
Good luck.
