Funny things happen you insert 5VDC onto DME connections. Luckily no damage was done. I also managed to bend a pin on one the cameras s video type (I think it's a proprietary version) connections and thought I was screwed. Surprisingly though is was able to bend it back excruciatingly slowly without it breaking.

I got the shocks reinstalled and alignment done yesterday. All that's left is fire suppression, seats/harnesses and rear view mirror. I did not want to be finishing up on the very last day but at least the end is in sight.

Looking good. If its any consolation (I know its not) whenever we used to get cars ready for rallying when I was back in the UK, it almost always turned into a last minute/late night the day of the event panic to get cars ready.

It's come a long way, you must be super excited. Good luck on the shakedown tomorrow.

Thanks! I am starting to get really excited now. Got the Fire System done and it's downhill from here. A little more dress out, then seats and mirror. I'll do a final torquing of all the suspension and should actually get some sleep tonight.

Have to admit I'm a bit jealous...looks like a ton of work and must feel good to be nearing the finish line.

So nice to read a thread without hearing about IMS failures and scored cylinder walls and the best way to fix it.
Thanks Slakker, now can you get us some video?

Uploading some day 1 video but it's glitchy. Which was the theme of the day. Driver seat broke, moved over passenger seat and it was losing bolts. Video system was glitching, stripped a lug nut, rear Lexan came unglued and was held on by the straps, messed up a top mount, car won't start unless data system is on (very strange.).

But, none the less, today was awesome! Made all 7 sessions, was running with the racers which meant open passing (learning to be passed is a skill I didn't know I needed so badly), and the car was amazing. Crazy responsive and very balanced. Still not fully comfortable with it and I have already shaved 6.5 seconds off the silver car. I'm running about 5 seconds behind the top guys in my class and think I can close the gap a little more, especially with the Pirelli DH slicks (usedracingtires.com) going on tomorrow.

Gained 2 seconds first practice session on the used Pirelli DHs. Getting close to being in the hunt. All glitches repaired last night all systems working properly right now, knock on wood.

You stuffed it, great work. Exploring those limits.

Now you get to have tape just like the F1 cars for added aero benefit.
