Retractable tow hook, looking good!
Some weight saving stats:
Replace
- Battery Tender Li-Iron - 40 lbs
Remove:
- heater hoses and estimated fluid - 9 lbs
- Fast suit (like cool suit) - 10 lbs
- windshield wipers - 7.5 lbs (they didn't work or would have left them)
- Front bumper support 13.5lbs (add back 2lbs for retractable tow hook)
- condensers and hoses - 7 lbs
- Headlights - 15 lbs
- Horn - 2 lbs
More to come!

Nose back together minus about 40 lbs. had leave the headlights as I didn't realize that the covers required a frame to be built behind it. That one will have to wait until winter along with venting the center radiator out the top of the bumper.

Hood took less time than I figured, aero catches took way longer. Definitely a learning curve to those little bastards.
Stock hold - 31 lbs
Frunk gasket - 3 lbs
Fiber glass hood + 11 lbs
Net savings 21 lbs
FYI, for an extra 560 I could have upgraded to carbon fiber and saved another 1.5 lbs. Ha!

Next weekend. Test and tune on Friday and races Saturday as Sunday. I'm behind schedule so the scope keeps narrowing, but nothing major yet.
Got the report back on the 10 year old Motons, The oil was black and chunky. Sounds like the rebuild will be money well spent. Should have them back Monday.
