Default CHP Escort home

I got pulled over this afternoon on my way home by CHP after I exited the freeway, he followed me for one block then turn his lights on. After I gave him my drivers license he informs me that my break lights - all of them - were out. Which was huge surprise to me. I assured him I'll take care of it as soon I get home. He knew my town well enough to tell me he will follow me home for safety. One I got home and checked the fuse and it was good - luckily I had a new break light switch in my tool box. It was a easy fix. Over all was good day.

Good news...why did you have a spare brake light switch on hand - previous problems?

No problems just in case , I always have odd parts on hand that I can't get from my local supplier.

You might want to check your calibers as well.

So what you're saying is you carry around a spare IMS in your frunk, just in case...

I am NOT disappointed by this reply.

OP, I think the last time I was lit up by CHP, it was for expired registration - it was actually current, but the stickers never came in the mail. Anyway, we wound up having a 5-minute conversation about my radar detector (I had a tablet mounted in the car at that time, and he was curious about the tablet/detector integration that was obviously present, since both devices were freaking out about the massive doses of KA...). CA highway patrol can be very cool...
