April Showers and Wiper Problems

April Showers and Wiper Problems
I'll start off with the link to a video I took of the problem:
To begin, this problem is probably all my fault when I stupidly tried running the wipers with a sheet of ice on the windshield thinking it wouldn't be a problem since my truck has always been fine. But now we get the problem shown in the video. The wipers try to turn but will only move an inch and no more. If I push it up it'll go up and come back down but will continue on with this problem. You can kind of see the linkages moving how I'm assuming is properly but slipping or something at the shaft that holds the wiper arm.
Has anyone run into a similar issue? Does anyone have pictures of the wiper motor mechanism. I might open it all up and see what's up but wanted to get an idea of what I'm going into first.

The good news is that the part that was designed to break if the blades were bound up broke, so the motor and mechanism is intact; the bad news is that you need two new wiper arms.
You COULD do something terrible like pack the space around the nut with JB weld - but then you'd be defeating the safety device that prevented damage to the motor and mechanism in the first place...

If 5CHN3LL is right.....here is some:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/02-Carrera-4...item463f540f4f
http://www.ebay.com/itm/00-Carrera-9...item419093f364
Doesn't look like too expensive of a mistake.

The shafts are tapered. If you haven't ground the splines in the arms away completely, tightening with a 13mm socket may restore you to functional.
