It's good in two ways.
First, to show that these cars hold up very well if maintained properly.
Second, to actually admire someone for running up the miles on a great car rather than adopting the "save it for the next guy" mentality (which drives me freaking nuts).
If I had it to do over again, I would have bought a high-mileage 996tt rather than one with 47k miles (which I realize isn't exactly low miles). My '99 C4 aero coupe had 133k miles on it when I bought it and I never thought twice about driving it everywhere. Now, I sit there and worry about how many miles I'm putting on the 996tt, even though I'll probably never sell it. I hate odometer stress.

Can't believe I forgot to mention that, of course, it's the best color. Plus the extra 25 hp they put in all of the guards red cars is a nice little bonus.

Guards Red or not, I think $18,500.00 is a little optimistic for any 996 with 197k mi. on it On the other hand, it would be nice if prices started trending that way

If it's in fantastic condition, I don't see that being too unreasonable to ask for a well-maintained, well-running aero.

Too many other cars out there with less miles that have been maintained for around that price or above but not by much.
