Default Back in a Porsche - new to 996 forum

Just finished first week of ownership of our 2001 996 Cab. Thankfully the weather in Seattle this week has been glorious (at least the last few days ) and the ride remarkable. When I sold my 87 928S4 a few years ago, the regret began almost immediately. The new owner would ping me with updates - and then he won a local concours! All that is a distant memory now with this beautiful black on black with 28K miles. Glad to be back on Rennlist and looking forward to PCANW events. Plus my wife loves to drive it - she hated driving the 928! The V8 was too much for her!

Steve

Nice! Good luck with it! Is your wife driving a manual 6 speed or is it a tip?

It's a 6 speed. She grew up driving a manual. Another reason she loves it!

Great looking car! They have a Ladies Only Autocross day coming up in Oklahoma that I'm hoping to talk my wife into going to. If I can just get her to love this car as much as I do my then my budget for it would be unlimited!

Hey Steve - Glad to see you're back in a Porsche. Your old 87 928 S4 continues to win car shows ... 6 in the last 6 weeks. Check out my Facebook thread under Andy Kay. I bought it from you at 72,000, it now has 155,000 miles in just 5 years! Love the car!
