Default How fix power mirror?

My driver side power mirror doesn't respond at all when I try to adjust it. Passenger side works fine so I assume it is not a switch. Also, since it doesn't work in horisontal nor vertical direction I guess it is not likely due to faulty motors. Have also tried installing another adjustment switch without success.

What could be the problem? Is it common that wire connections detach or anything similar? Need help with problem solving here. Spring is here and I hate to drive around with glitches, even small ones

Can you hear the motor trying to move the mirror?

No. Not a sound, so I guess that means I don't have any power to the mirror. Either that or both motors are gone. I'll try to open the mirror and see if I can measure the power to the motors.

Go to your nearest authorized dealer, point to the car and say "my driver side mirror don't work" then go sit in the Barista Lounge and have a cup of coffee.

And bring your own lubricant! It's not part of the "shop fee" when they go to.....

Just to be sure, you did switch the rocker selecter switch from passenger to driver?

Seems I posted my question in the wrong forum. I was under the impression this was the "technical discussion area"

If only one side works then I suspect the rocker switch.

That was my assumption also and I changed the rocker/adjustment switch but issue remains the same. Will try to measure power from the rocker switch all the way to the mirror motors tonight.

Looking forward to your numbers. I'm doing the same thing.

You need to get the wiring diagram for the mirror, and using a multi-meter, troubleshoot the issue. It should not be hard to find.

The passenger side mirror on my C2 makes noises, but the mirror doesn't move. I am assuming the gear teeth are no longer meshing. No big deal; I adjusted by hand. Might have my indy look at it when time to do the annual oil change.
