I'm of a technical background too... My initial training as a computer/electronics technician is what landed me the job on the ballistic missile submarine. It was like being on a real life starship Enterprise.

Still haven't found my 996 or 993TT that's right for me...Yet! I'm only 2 months into the search, had an '01 996 Cab lined up and had it sold out from under me...my loss, although it made some strange racket at 6000 rpm.

Selling real estate in one of the best places on Earth.

But garage queens spend alot of time uninsured, under a cover, while 500 inches of snow fall, then melt. Most of you worry about clubs fitting, try getting skis in one of these things.

JDMBA (MBA is in insurance and risk management) and a few hours to PHD which has gone by the way side. Never intended to use it as I am a trial lawyer and that all I ever want to do. I just thoguht the PHD would be cool to have, but I guess one doctorate is enough.

After 17 continuous years being paid to develop Mac software currently unemployed due to AOL's whacking, er, laying off 450 people in the CA offices (adds new meaning to the concept of a Christmas Bonus). Trying to decide what's interesting enough to do next, possibly going to school as 4 credit hours of German does not a degree make. That is one thing I'll miss about Silicon Valley, experience and skills were as valuable as a degree. I don't think I can say the same about tech jobs in Central FL, much less find a Mac development position around here.

Wow.. cool thread.

I have a assoc. degree in audio engineering / production from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, Canada.

Been working in studios recording music since then - I know have my own shop. I do mostly CD mastering, some mixing and some other production. It's a lot of fun....

I've been using Pro Tools for a while now. I'm in the process of building my own studio in my basement, should be finished next month. I'll put in HD3 Accel System and a control|24 should be fun... nice to see some other music freaks!!
