Default Anyone who likes guns, cigars and Porsches can't be all bad...

Mechanical engineer for Maxtor Corp - B.S. from WPI in '77.

Also enjoy guns, cigars, Kenpo, ... and of course, high-priced German iron.

Partner in Security Engineering firm - we design and install electronic and physical security system for commerical and industrial clients.

Interesting to see the majority of people here are tech/eng/sci educated as compared to med/law or sales/marketing

Wow.. What a list..

I provide shelter for people of means...

I do design/build of California castles, formally a bored Real Estate Broker with some college. Never got a BS, but used plenty of it.........

Used to be a junkyard mechanic hobbist. My girl friend (now my wife) had a brother in law who owned a auto junkyard.

Can you believe it - an 18 yr old motorhead having a auto junkyard at his disposal. In 1959 I got my first Porche there: a '54 Speedster with 8" windscreen (as well as a 50 Merc, 50 Ford Bus Coupe & chopped top; 52 Studebaker & put in 55 Olds engine, 50 Olds bus coupe, '52 XK 120 & the best of all a 52 Alpha Romeo with a DeDion rear end independant suspension). What a way to end your teenage years.

Interesting posts, indeed.

For me...B.S. in Aeronautics from Arizona State (however, greatly wish it had been from Notre Dame!). I work for America West Airlines in Phoenix in supply chain management within the Technical Operations Division.

Amazing diversity. One common thread that has already been pointed out is the tech/engineering angle. Another one seems to be part-time or full-timers in real-estate. Not as many JD/MDs as I would have ventured to guess at the outset. Nor as many entrepreneurs, although there definitely are some. One with his own oil company!!

Myself, I have a BS in Petroleum Engineering from University of Kansas and now working as a Systems Architect for a major insurance company. Trying to get into either Kellogg or Chicago for p/t MBA starting next semester.

There are a lot more people so let's hear from those of you sitting on the sidelines. Inquiring minds wanna know
