Default Thanks for the info guys - Very happy new 03 996 Cab owner

All the info on here was really helpful, buying this sight-unseen with PPI across the country. I big thank you.

Did clutch, RMS (was leaking) and IMS all 3 days after purchase. Surprised clutch was needed at 27k miles, but while we're in there...
(Note - IMS was fine...) Car runs like new

Also, had to change out those side markers...

If only Connecticut winter wasn't setting in...

Damn good looking car sir.
Love the color and I too wish winter wasn't upon us. I drive mine in Maryland until the first salt and sand application and then it's nighty night until Spring.

What's wrong with the side markers?
I drive it every season, specially on winter with the top down and without winter tires, failure to move it after 48 hours may incur in CEF.

Winter is the best time to drive these cars if it's a C4 - very capable in the snow and it keeps them moving. Best not to let this car just sit in the garage.

Look at the bright side cabs sell for less (usually) during the winter. Hope you got it for a slight discount

Congrats on your new cab. Looks very nice! Did you do the work yourself?

Congrats! Love the color combo! If you drive it in the winter or even when it's dry out make sure you have all season tires at a minimum or winter tires. Take it from me, you will plant it into a wall with summer tires, even it its 40 degrees.

Nice! I hadn't seen any/many Orient Reds on the market as I was searching these last few months. I wasn't targeting that color per se, but wanted something a little different. How long you had yours?

Thanks! I'm on the fence about the wheels actually. 17'', sorta wish they were the turbo look 18'' or similar... I'm thinking I would need to get hard top if I do any PCA events at Lime Rock with it. 17'' for the track would probably be better tho

I wish. No it's a C2 and that's what my S6 with the Blizzaks is for.

I think I did okay on it, but that's all individual perception of market value I guess. Hadn't seen too many with less than 30k miles on them

Thank you. I wish I could say I did. Will be installing a lift in the garage in a couple months (stack cars) and do more basic stuff, but IMS would have been beyond my comfort zone. Actually had it done at a local dealer (allowed me to purchase the parts from LN Eng. and they did the work.) Dealership gave a little warranty and was the same price as local indy was going to be to do the work. Was pleased with their service.
