Default Almost new 996 Engine FS?

Considering selling my factory remanufactured 3.4L engine. It has only approximately 50 hours of run time. Runs great of course.

Looking for 10k or so... Let me know if interested.

That shouldn't last long at that price. Any specifics such as build date, pic of invoice? I'm not a candidate to buy, but I'm sure those questions will be asked.
BTW, what happened to the car it came out of?

Nothing happened to the car. The previous owner bought the engine from Porsche for his "super-Boxster" project a number of years ago. For various reasons he never finished the project and it ended up sitting for a long time before I bought it. I've put most of the (very few) hours on it since I bought it, only had 5 hours on it when I got it. Therefore I don't have any paper-work. I can get DME readouts and engine number for any interested parties. Just did a compression check BTW, as expected all numbers were really good. Please PM for more info.

kc has a point. Pics or it never happened. Documentation or it doesn't exist. I'll take for the "or so" amount. Provide more info and pics and you will sell this quick.

Well, it's a 996 engine so I think we all know what it looks like. Same as all the others (except it has the X51 oil pan). I'll be more than happy to let any serious buyer inspect it before purchase, send high-res pics, videos of it running etc The price was selected considering the lack of paperwork.

Waiting for KK to chime in. With 50 hours on the engine he would need to rebuild all of the major components at the very least. Pics would help the OP sell this engine IMHO.

Although all 3.4L look the same with the exception of eGas throttle body, I think some may feel more reassured if they see a clean engine that "looks" like it had 50 hours on it. Obviously anyone can detail any engine to look new but some are looking for obvious leak marks and such. Tough crowd as usual on RL. GLWS

Tough to fork out 10K for an engine that has no warranty. Put it on eBay, would sell faster there.

I may put it on ebay but wanted to get everybody here a chance first.

I don't think it's that strange to pay for an engine without warranty. People do it every day, most of the time the engine comes with a car attached that also does not have a warranty...

Like I stated before I'll be happy to let the buyer inspect the engine including driving the car it's currently in.

I really don't understand your reluctance to post pics. This thing would have sold already.

Not reluctant, just need to find time. Be patient, it's coming.

You should put a lot more effort selling this.Take the pics/video and THEN post the for sale add. Be prepared as opposed to doing things afterward.
