996 Investment
Well, I just scheduled a major investment into the 996. Going to have a new clutch, intermediate shaft bearing, spin on oil filter adapter, front crank seal, and spark plugs done.
Anyone interested in purchasing a kidney? I know selling the kids is probably cheaper for me in the long run but I just can't bring myself to do it.

Your title was misleading. When I saw it, my initial reaction was this:
But after I read your post, I'll say this: if you plan to hold on to her for a while it's a good investment. If not, be more picky. I wasn't and ended up being in the hole when I sold her.

What?!? You sold your car?
Next you'll be telling me that KC got a Turbo or something equally silly.

I just dumped $20K (15K US) into mine , clutch, ims, rms, single mass flywheel, coilovers, limited slip diff, powerflex bushes etc etc etc and my car only has 38000 miles on it.
but I spent 3 winters working 3 hours north of Edmonton in the Oilsands to fund it.
Might have been better off selling a kidney , -40'C is not fun!

You are a total *** wipe and the last person that should be giving advice on maintaining a Porsche. Reading your posts are like listening to Keith Richards talk about sobriety.
