Not a bad deal... Just for consideration, my engines are base priced at 20,500 but they are not stock, and all have the IMS Solution and LN Nickies, making a minimum of 25HP and 40# more torque than factory.

No need to pollute OP's original sales thread. You're a sponsor so you can always create your own thread for something like this.

It was just clearing the air, since he used an inaccurate price in his for sale ad. I also do not build any stock engines, which is what his engine is.
While the rules state that I can place an ad, I've never done it here, it leads to nothing positive.
The OP is offering a GREAT deal on this crate engine. Its a steal.

It's hard to keep up with engine prices these days. I just looked at a 3yo thread for example and the poster posted his dealer receipt for $12k for reman from Porsche. I had to look at it twice. It's kinda ironic that the 996 is no where near collector status yet the parts still keep climbing through the roof, and not just engines either.

You can buy something like this and hope there's nothing wrong with it or spend another 4500 to know what you've got.

As ridiculous as I think it is to put that kind of money into a 996, it isn't any more expensive (actually less probably) than a air-cooled model reworking. I still plan on selling my corpse to Jake if it ever comes to that.

A perfectly good used one ? Good luck with that roll of the dice.

Anyhow, good luck with the sale.

Are they stock 3.6L in displacement, bore and stroke the same as the factory?

Looks about the same as what I was quoted at the Porsche dealer here. But, they also estimated another $12K to $15K for labour charges.
