Key fob SNAFU

Just today when I use the fob transmitter to unlock the doors it also opens the engine compartment...anyone else have this happen?

I hope you mean bonnet, engine is in the rear of your car :-)

At least yours opened something. At times, my key fob fails completely, leaving me to remove the door plug from the keyhole and manually unlock the car - very embarassing to say the least.
