Megablocks has a much better looking one of the 997 GT3 RS.

My wife got me this a couple years ago and although it looks better, I don't really consider it a "true" lego as majority of the pieces are fabricated specifically for this model and not assembled from a generic parts bin. My 5yo son asked me if I wanted the Lego 2 car version posted in the original post for my birthday. He's so thoughtful, lol.

I agree, but there was still a fair amount to building it. I bought one for my wife (her birthday?), but our 2 yr old (at the time) stole it and had lots of fun driving it around until he lost too many pieces. He still pulls out what's left and tries to play with it. I had to order a second one for her, but he is still trying to get that one too...

I was amazed at how much detail the put into it with the interior and engine being pretty well done.
